Summer ’11 TV

Written By: Colleen

October 22, 2011 – We didn’t do as well as intended on our Summer TV watch haha but since there’s so much being watched for Jay and Jack TV and much all of my free time is spend going homework right now, this list still stands.  There’s no way we’re going to have time to do much more than catch up on this season of Breaking Bad (we are current up til the past season) and catch up on Mad Men (again, we’re current except for the most recent season).

June 5, 2011 – I thought it’d be fun to make a list of the TV shows that have been recommended to us/shows Jay & I want to watch this summer.  Some have a Comic Con deadline, some don’t.  Some are ones I fell behind on during the TV season.  This way, anyone who wants can keep track of our progress.*

  1. Game of Thrones (I have to catch up)
  2. Mad Men
  3. True Blood Season 3
  4. Dexter Season 5
  5. Damages
  6. Justified
  7. Breaking Bad
  8. Burn Notice
  9. Chuck (Finish what I fell behind on of Season 4)
  10. Glee (Maaaaybe finish Season 2)

*Not on here is anything currently going on that I am caught up with like The Killing or Fringe which I’m also rewatching with Jay as he and Jack podcast on it.

I definitely plan on starting Mad Men which is long overdue.

I also have to catch up on True Blood and Breaking Bad as well. I have the same thoughts you do about Glee it seems.

On the fence about Damages but looking forward to your thoughts throughout your viewing of the series…

I can’t wait for Chuck & Dexter’s return this fall!

Make Breaking Bad priority #1. Best show on TV by a pretty wide margin. Mad Men & Justified are great, but they won’t be back until next year, so you have a lot of time to catch up.

  3. Will says:

    Don’t even bother with Glee.

@Matt – We’re midway thru Season 3 of Mad Men on Netflix so unless 4 is on Netflix soon, we’re going to move right into Breaking Bad.
@Melody – We have to have True Blood and Dexter done by Comic Con or else we’ll be spoiled. LOVED season 1 of Damages. Couldn’t stop watching it. So far, I haven’t had that same urgency about season 2 but I will definitely let you know once I finish with it. I didn’t mean to fall out with Glee, I just found that I stopped caring about anyone but Kurt. I don’t know.
@Will – It’s on the very end of my list.

I’ve been spoiled so many times, including at comic con with True Blood… that’s probably part of the reason why I’m not in a rush to catch up haha which is unfortunate so I definitely feel you on catching up beforehand. I also agree about Glee.
