Jay’s sister’s cat had kittens last month. She has four little white ones who are up for grabs. Technically, these kittens are Zoe’s nephews and nieces, since their mom and dad are both siblings of hers, haha. Don’t worry though, the dad is from Zoe’s litter and the mom is from a few litters later. If you listen to the Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack, their mom is the famous Mommy Kitty.
I hung out with them while Jay and Jack recorded FlashForward Cast yesterday afternoon and this one took a liking to me:
Zoe has nothing to worry about though because we are perfectly happy with having just her, but if anyone wants a kitten, I know of 4 really adorable ones!

OMG SO cute!!!! Too bad I live so far away.
i’m really more of a dog person, but that is pretty darn cute right there!
Please, please, please get Mommy Kitty fixed there are too many unwanted cats in shelters!! How many litters has that poor cat had (“the mom is from a few litters later”)? If she won’t let you catch her, I’m sure there are feral cat rescues that can help set up a trap to catch her, do a low-cost spay, and return her to her home. Cats can have a litter every 9 weeks. Please get her fixed.
Jennifer, Mommy Kitty isn’t our cat and we know she needs to get fixed. Unfortunately, since she’s not ours, it’s not our decision to make but we do hope she does get fixed soon for her own health’s sake. Every single one of her kittens have gone to good homes though, so fortunately on that front, none of them have ended up unwanted in a shelter.
Well, at the start of your blog you said “Jay’s sister’s cat had kittens” plus they had a contest to name her – that sounds like ownership to me. Also, every single kitten she has had is taking the home from one of the gazillion kittens/cats that are in shelters. I don’t want to get even more preachy about it because I love the Jay & Jack podcast and think you guys are awesome, but just make it your decision and get her fixed. If someone else does own her they are irresponsible and sounds like they wouldn’t even notice. Thanks.
Right, but I think you misunderstand – I don’t live with Jack or Jay’s sister. Jay & I live separately from them. The new mom is Jay’s sister’s cat (not Mommy Kitty) and Mommy Kitty is I guess technically the outdoor cat who adopted Jack as her master. I don’t get a say at all in getting her fixed, although I do understand that it’s detrimental to a female cat’s health to have so many litters. That’s why we got our cat, Zoe IS spayed. I am agreeing with you. I do hope though that Mommy Kitty gets fixed soon for her own health’s sake.
I just read this,
I agree with you Jennifer. We have had one cat fixed and we’re getting two more that we adopted fixed next week.
I contacted a local animal shelter and they gave me a couple of numbers to call which I did and for the most part they where useless. They couldn’t even guarantee that once they caught her they wouldn’t put her to sleep.
We’d like to get her fixed in the next few weeks, but as most things in life, it comes down to money. I like most live paycheck to paycheck and as crazy as it sounds I still pay all 3 of my kids cell phone bills and car and health insurance. Boy how times have change.
As far as the decision to have her fixed. It’s a wild cat she doesn’t belong to anyone. So at anytime whoever has the money and wants to get her fixed can do so.
