I had this whole thing planned where I was going to post up pictures in the correct order from each day of San Diego Comic Con 2009 (4 of us even filmed a teaser for it in the airport leaving San Diego haha) but in honor of Jay and my’s 2-year anniversary celebration, I’m gratuitously sharing a picture taken by the fabulous Cesar of us from Comic Con and then generously giving you the gift of laughter at Clif’s expense. Enjoy. Happy 7/29!
This is real. We filmed it and he had no idea until we showed him later Sunday night.
Video blog because I’m too tired to write and I have to get up at 2am to go to get on line for the Lost panel:
I met Robert Downey Jr. when we walked next to each other crossing the street this morning (”Jay, I think that’s…isn’t that…?”), saw Gene Simmons on an escalator, and told Grace Park (”Eight” on BSG) that I thought she was awesome.
oh and I got a picture taken with the Suicide Girls:
And while I’m at it, here’s a picture of the group from the Live Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack this morning:
As usual, I’m running late, so I’ll make this quick. I’m working on sorting thru a crapload of pictures from yesterday for YuBlog.org (Nudia.tv’s community blog site) but I’ve literally sorted through hundreds of awesome ones from people who’ve contributed, so it’s just taking a wee bit longer than it did yesterday. We are heading to the convention center in 5 minutes to get some Exhibit Hall time in before Jay and Jack’s live podcast at 12PST in the Sails Pavilion. I’m finishing this during the live Lost Podcast. The actual Con pics will be on YuBlog.org soon enough but I wanted to get some personal pics from our time in San Diego up here first.
Thanks to Nick for the heads up about these signings, because it was freaking the highlight of my day so far. Behold:
Then we dared Chris in Boston to get a picture with him punching him in the face Casey/Jayne style, haha:
Oh yeah AND I SHOOK ADAMA’S HAND!!!!
If you haven’t seen it yet, I took video & had it up before the panel was even over of Elizabeth Mitchell answering a question about the fate of Juliet on Lost after the Season 5 finale:
So yesterday was Day 1 of San Diego Comic Con 2009 aka Preview Night. Woot. After Jay & I picked up our rental car (an oh-so-hot PT Cruiser), we made a much anticipated stop at In N Out Burger in Mission Valley. There, we (me, Jay, Jana & Clif) met up with Ryan & Jen Ozawa from the Transmission podcast and Alirio “I Have Free Health Care in Canada” of PauseCast.
We got our badges at about 2pm and then sat around the Convention Center outside Ballroom 20 for 4 hours until the doors opened for the Exhibit Hall at 6pm. I wanted to get a Benjamin Linus Bobble Head doll but by the time I got over there after my stop at the Diamond Toys booth to pick up Stay Puft Marshmellow Man limited edition banks for Jay, Derek, and Kim, the line was too long and I wanted to go up and see the previews for V (looks awesome) and The Vampire Diaries (craptastic-minus-the-tastic-until-Boone-gets-on-45-mins-into-it). Afterwards, we hit up some local bar for food/drinks with friends like Chris in Boston & friends, Adam of the Randy Rando Randonopolis podcast, Desiree in Pensicola, Alirio and Michael the Friendly Communist. Good times, good times.

It’s 12:03am right now and we just got to our hotel. After a few slight mishaps (the man in pajamas who checked us in at our motel charged my credit card on our first night without asking me first and it wasn’t the card I wanted it to go on, which sucks for me but whatev, I’ll deal with it when I get home), we finally got situated. We did a crapload of stuff today, but I’ll explain all of that tomorrow. For now, here’s the really terrible video I pieced together of a bunch of stuff I recorded with my camera while we were traveling to San Diego Comic Con last night. Definitely more pictures and a video of all of us at In N Out tomorrow morning!
P.S. I look really tired in this video and that’s because, well, I was exhausted. Hence why I’m sleeping now instead of posting more blog stuff; because I haven’t caught up on my sleep from before this video was done/we left Raleigh. And away we go:
Okay, so let me start by saying that I do have a video we made during our travels to San Diego last night, but the Internet where we are right now is stolen borrowed and therefore, not strong enough for me to upload it yet. I’ll get it up though (that’s what she said). In the meantime, please accept this small token of entertainment. Southwest Airlines goes 3 seats across and since there were 4 of us traveling (Jay, myself, Jana, and Clif), Clif ended up sitting in the aisle seat for the row across from us. So we spent some time on the flight adding fun things to different pictures of Clif in a Perez Hilton-style. Jay saved some to us computer but I can only find one of them, but it’s funny enough. It’s from last year’s Comic Con:
Oh yeah and I got pulled aside while boarding the plane yesterday so they could test my BRAND NEW bottle of water (bought AFTER security within the airport terminal) for alcohol or whatever. Yeah. Hilarious, right? Meh.

Jay’s really sick with a virus and has been since around 3am Sunday morning, Zoe the cat is in heat and I have to get up in 5 hours to go to work early so I can leave early. aldkfjadgaoyigu;adgaghyidugjkladgy I have 6 hours to make sure I have everything all set!
P.S. Comic Con is going to be VERY fun this year, but also very strange, for reasons I’m not getting in to when I should have been asleep 2 hours ago. lk adjgklaydgiaug a aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Today was the first weekend since the beginning of June that neither I didn’t have anything to do. It was fabulous. I wish the weather could have been a little more sunny so I could have gotten some rays by the pool, but tomorrow will be nice. Jay & I ran errands for most of the day. I finally picked up my bridesmaid dress (picture below) for Sara & TJ’s wedding on September 5th and then did some more scrapbook shopping and clothes shopping for Comic Con. After we got home, we got stuck watching that MTV show 16 and Pregnant or whatever it’s called. Jay’s seen it before, but this was the first time I saw it. And when I say “stuck” I mean “watched three episodes in a row because it was that damn addicting.” Has anyone else ever seen that show/know what I’m talking about?
Ohhh and I also had my first ever milkshake from Chick-Fil-A today (still never eaten there though). It was just as swell an experience as I thought it’d be.
So here’s my bridesmaid dress:
And did you guys know that they have vagina models at the Gap?
And for posterity, I’m including the picture I put up on Twitter last night, reasons 1-799 why Jay needs a haircut before we leave for San Diego on Tuesday.
Sorry for the lack of the No Doubt video/playlist. I promise that I will get it all out there. For now, here’s what’s going down. Since No Doubt, we’ve had Jay’s sister’s high school graduation, Sara’s bachelorette party, Jay’s family reunion in Ohio, 4th of July in New York, and then I went up to NY again last weekend. It’s been somewhat busy/crazy. I also promise to do a HUGE set of updates once things come down. Now I’m busy scrapbooking the last year for my & Jay’s 2nd anniversary on July 29.
Oh yeah and WE’RE GOING TO COMIC CON IN 5 DAYS!!! I. Am. So. Excited.
Jay, Jack & I filmed this amateur’s guide to Comic Con for www.nuDia.tv. Check it out if you haven’t already. I have to give props to Ralph & Ben, formerly of the Dharmalars podcast aka the godfathers of the Comic Con Survival Guide. I’m going to be blogging updates from this blog (more personal pictures from Comic Con) and YuBlog.org (Nudia.tv’s community blog, which anyone can submit blogs to be published - this will have the more “professional” pictures, I guess), and of course, Nudia.tv will be updating content on the site at least once a day. So if you’re a Comic Con enthusist and want to know what’s going on, then bookmark all 3 sites and check back daily. I can’t promise that this blog will be updated every single day, but YuBlog.org & Nudia.tvwill be updated daily. Jay & Jack will also be doing some live stuff from ustream.tv at some time during Comic Con too.
Okay, enough yakking out of me. I seriously have to go eat olives & scrapbook right now. This is not a joke. They are olives stuffed with garlic and jalapenos so GFY if you think eating olives is lame. Thus said, here’s Comic Con Guide:
